News of Ralf Ayling-Miller (OW 2012) who has completed his studies at Birmingham Conservatoire and is now a freelance musician. One of his first appointments has been as organist at St Mark’s Parish Church, Bromley where my brother James Bunting (OW 1972) sings in the choir.
He will be playing at St Paul’s and Peterborough Cathedrals when the Bromley choir sing there in 2017 and at a cathedral (yet to be announced) in 2018 when they take a four day residency which they do in alternate years. Ralf has also been accompanying adult and school choirs in the Bromley area.
At Wells, Ralf studied organ under the cathedral organist, Matthew Owens, was Open Organ Scholar at St John’s Glastonbury and also played organ at Wells, Salisbury, Hereford and Exeter Cathedrals when accompanying the choir on tour. At the Conservatoire he studied under Henry Fairs and was Senior Organ Scholar at St Peter’s Collegiate Church, Wolverhampton.
Ralf will be accepting new engagements in 2017 and we wish him well.
